Stands out amongst the mass of lo-fi Black Metal releases flooding the market lately. Absolutely love the riffs here that sound unlike any others I hear from similar artists. Vocals are fine tho nothing exceptional but again unlike other artists of this kind they don't ruin the atmosphere for me. saapuvakomeetta
Despite a generally gloomy and muted atmosphere, Dune Mear also captures a dreamy quality with solemn, wandering guitars, and avoids becoming sluggish with punchy drums. The result is an album you can easily lose yourself in from the first track, aggressive and doomful, yet also a frictionless listening experience. Wretched Mire sounds like a work straight from Panzerfaust-era Darkthrone. tallgoblin

Forcefed Horsehead describe themselves as “grindpunk,” and their visceral mesh of extreme metal subgenres heads direct for the pit. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 28, 2023
It’s getting rarer and rarer for me to get excited about new black metal albums (except for Trhä obviously, Trhä always excites me), but this one is amazing. It embodies everything I love about black metal. The riffs are triumphant and uplifting and the production has just the right degree of rawness.
